How customers opt in

Customers can opt in to receive SMS text messages from Luisi Building Materials when they register as a customer in our store. During registration in our point-of-sale system, after entering a mobile phone number, the customer is shown a checkbox that is unchecked by default. The customer must actively check the box to consent. Customers who do not check the box are not sent SMS messages. Consent is recorded on the customer record with a date and time stamp.

The checkbox reads:
